Tools & Materials
5/16" Drill Bit
Drill a 5/16" hole in the front corner of the underside of the cabinet.
Use a pencil to draw a line under the cabinet where you would like to place the lights.
Measure the line you drew to determine how long your run of rigid strips needs to be.
Divide the total length by the length of one of the rigid strips you will be using to calculate how many strips you will be able to fit.
38" / 11.22"=3.4 (3 strips max)
Next, determine where the run will begin and end so that it will be centered
across the total length. Then, you can mark off where each strip will be placed
using one of the strips as a guide.
Using the drill and screwdriver bit, install two clips for each strip with the
screws provided. Once all the clips are in place you are ready to attach the
Plug the driver lead into a rigid strip. Continue to plug additional strips into the end of each other to create a continuous run for the length you need.
Then, snap the strips into the clips making sure the driver lead is on the side
where you drilled the hole.
Feed the driver lead wire through the hole and up along the inside front
corner of the cabinet.
NOTE: For this example, we will assume that you will be installing the driver
at the top of the cabinet, hidden from sight by crown molding.
Drill another 5/16" hole at the top front corner of the cabinet, feed the driver
lead through and connect it to the driver.
